Notes from the President

To All West Coast Members

On April 21^st, 2009 the WCWGA completed its 64^th Championship Tournament and a new board was installed. I am extremely honored to serve as your President for the 2009-2011 term.  I look forward to working with the board and chairpersons and hope that we can meet and exceed your expectations in continuing to uphold the goals and the traditions of WCWGA.

 We start the new season beginning Thursday, May 7^th, 2009 with 35 member clubs and 244 members.  The fact that this organization has survived and flourished since 1935 in large part must be attributed to the hard work and dedication of our member Club Representatives.  They are the backbone of WCWGA, and I am proud to have the opportunity to work with such a fine group of women who are willing to volunteer their time to ensure the continued success of our organization.

Our continued success also depends on your participation in our events.  Scheduled West Coast events often compete with events scheduled by our member clubs ladies’ associations, other golf associations, interclub competitions, charity events, etc.  With so many options available, I ask you all to make a conscientious effort to participate in as many West Coast events as possible.  By working together we can solve the continued challenges of attendance and ensure the longevity of the organization and the benefits we enjoy.
